My name is Jake and this is my very first picture

I was born on April 4, 1998, in Jackson, Mississippi.
I weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce and was 20 inches long.
I was a very LOUD baby. Mama says I was not happy
when the doctor got me out of her tummy.
She says I was a lot happier when they finally let
her hold me.

Note from mom:
Jake is a real character. He's always getting into something that he shouldn't.
I am amazed at how fast the little booger is when he is sneaking.
He keeps dropping things into our heater vents...HEHE He managed to ruin a remote
control for the TV by coating it with drool...and he has drawn on EVERYTHING!
It is HARD to scrub crayon off walls! Overall though, he is a good boy...
I wouldn't trade him for the world. At night, when he is fast asleep, I look
at him and am so thankful for the wonderful miracle God gave to me :)

02-10-02
Jake has grown so much in the last year. He is starting to lose that "baby"
look and looking more like a little boy now. He is still a very loving little boy
and SO smart it amazes me sometimes. We are working on teaching him to sit
still during church service, but he's still trying to understand that concept..LOL
He loves Jesus, baths, Abbott and Costello, Oswald and cuddling with mama.
I wish I could keep him forever.

WOW! Jake is almost 5 years old now...Unbelievable!
His favorite things are Megabots, Gameboy, Power Rangers and he
loves to eat! His favorite foods are spaghetti, broccoli,
yogurt, pudding and Reeces...I guess he came by that one
honestly..lol He will be starting Kindergarten before long
and I really don't know how I'm going to hold up. It's so
hard to let them grow up. He's a very good boy though and we
are extremely proud of him.

04-05-04
Yesterday Jake turned SIX! I just can't believe how fast he's
growing! He is in the highest level in Kindergarten now and he
really likes his new school. He's a little more quiet and reserved
than Emily was at that age. It's really quiet around here during the
day while they are at school, but I have found things to occupy
my time. Jacob is into all the gameboy stuff, Power Rangers,
and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He is such a good boy..I'm
so glad he is mine <grin>

05-02-06
Gosh, I can't believe 2 years has gone by so fast! The past couple of
years have been stressful for our family but Jacob has been a trooper
through it all. He never seems to lose his innocence and wonder and I
hope he will always stay this way. He's small for his age, but he's a tough
cookie. We had some bully issues on his bus this year. Finally after it
continued for a while, we told Jacob he had our permission to defend
himself if this boy would not stop. WELL, he gets off the bus one day and
was so proud of himself! Apparently he knocked the kids glasses off. Oh Me.
Well, I would rather he fight back rather then letting someone use him as a
punching bag. I love him so much..he's my one and only "little buddy".
