this one is tried and true! Thanks, Mom!
Sock-it-to-me Cake
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. vegetable oil
4 eggs
3 tsp. cinnamon
1 box Duncan Hines Yellow cake mix
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
3 tsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Glaze:
3 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3 Tbsp. milk
1 c. powdered sugar
Mix sugar, cake mix,
sour cream, oil and eggs and pour 1/2 of mixture into tube
pan. In a small bowl mix brown sugar, cinnamon and pecans. Over
cake mix in tube
pan, scatter 1/2 of brown sugar mix and swirl with knife blade.
Pour remainder of
cake mix in pan. Scatter sugar mix over this and swirl again.
Bake in preheated oven
at 325 approx. 1 hour. Brown glaze in saucepan and glaze the cake
while it is warm.
